Prior to joining PPRC in 1998, Mark was a Senior Technologist in the development and production of extruded cross-linked polyolefin foam and a Packaging Technologist for UK food packaging company developing functional barrier blown or cast multi-layer film products. He has a vast knowledge of polymer materials and processes in blown film and tube co-extruded related projects. His interests lie in blown and cast film as well as on more diverse fields such as wood polymer composites and plasticization of polymers using super-critical carbon dioxide.
He has an in-depth knowledge of multi-layer extrusion of sheet and tubes using conventional polymers and has developed invaluable experience in innovative areas such as the processing of biopolymers from natural plant and fossil resources. Experienced in the delivery on IUK and EU funded programmes, he has supervised several KTP and Fusion projects as well delivered training companies in polymer materials and extrusion processing techniques to local and international companies. .
